Introduction

Since I got this car over 1 year ago I have been modifying it. This car is very easy to work on. There are a lot of mods for this car, it has a lot of headroom to improve the power and ride for relatively cheap. It's cheap to own and looks fantastic. Yes, you can pay more and get more, or buy a different platform which is more modifiable but for the price you pay for this car and cost of mods, there is not much better to be found IMHO. The car is a head-turner and even at stock is a lot of fun to drive.

I've had very little trouble with the car and all the issues I've come upon I have fixed (mainly water int he truck which I fixed for $6). If you stay stock, you can get away with filling up with 87 and getting conventional oil, so my getting 93 and full synthetic are a personal choice that increase cost of ownership. Tires for this car are expensive though (low pro, ZR rated 18's aren't cheap). Some of the fluids are expensive and you have to get Hyundai brand (like steering fluid). Otherwise, it's a 4 banger turbo which is as cheap as you can find for a sports car.

2013 Hyundai Genesis Coupe Love Letter

The car is beautiful and breaks necks all the time. It sounds awesome (mainly due to my mods) and is not very common (every other sports car here is a Stang or Maro) and often confuses people who don't know what they are looking at. Yeah, it's a Hyundai.

Conclusion

It seats 4, but the back seat is not very comfortable. My teenage sons fit back there fine. The ride is very nice when the car is at stock. It's a sports car but the ride is not harsh. If you have a baby or a car seat, this may not be the best car. As a commuter car or a car to step out on the town with your wife it's perfect. The power is not overwhelming but it is very good for a turbo 4. It's very driveable and has a lot of available options. As a sports car, it is very cheap to buy and own and compares favorably to cars which are a lot more expensive. Some people don't like the tranny, but I have the 6 speed M/T and I like it- the clutch is easy to use and doesn't bother my knee.
