20084dr SUV 185-horsepower 2.7L V6
4-speed shiftable automatic FWD
Most available standard features which are extras on other small SUVs and jack up their price. Got it for less than the advertised price. Had about 15 vehicles to choose from at below the advertised price unlike most dealers that have only 1 or 2.
20084dr SUV 242-horsepower 3.3L V6

With high residual value, monthly lease payments for full-loaded model were comparable to base model Honda Pilot and Nissan Murano.

Good price for a mid-size SUV. Much better priced than a Honda CRV or Toyota RAV or Highlander

Best value in class, about $3-5K less than Toyota or Honda.
20074dr SUV 242-horsepower 3.3L V6

Great rebate and the sales person was willing to meet our price range. I was able to get a really good price for a car with all the bells and whistles. The long warranty helped a lot also.

Lease rates were completely ridiculous compared to the Mazda. Wanted you to buy, but did not have good interest rates available.

20094dr Sedan 140-horsepower 2.0L I4
5-speed manual FWD
Bought used 19k miles, good condition, $9,500
20094dr Sedan 140-horsepower 2.0L I4
5-speed manual FWD
$16,700 is quite a bit of money for a two-liter four sedan, but the Focus has build quality and content that justify it pretty well.
20094dr Sedan 140-horsepower 2.0L I4
5-speed manual FWD
The Focus is one of the cheapest new cars. There are others that are cheaper, but they basically come stripped of options like AC and radios.
20094dr Sedan 140-horsepower 2.0L I4
5-speed manual FWD
It gave me the payment i needed while still providing most of the things i need in a small sedan.
20082dr Coupe 140-horsepower 2.0L I4
5-speed manual FWD
It was an affordable car even when loaded with lots of options!
20084dr Sedan 140-horsepower 2.0L I4
4-speed automatic FWD
For what it is, it is not overpriced. The payments do not stress out my budget.
20082dr Coupe 140-horsepower 2.0L I4
5-speed manual FWD
Price was so low it was almost a concern.
20084dr Sedan 140-horsepower 2.0L I4
5-speed manual FWD
Cheaper, with better standard features, than any competitors (Yaris, Honda Fit, Hyundai Accent).
20074dr Sedan 136-horsepower 2.0L I4
5-speed manual FWD
Got it really cheap at a year end clearance sale.
20062dr Hatch 136-horsepower 2.0L I4
5-speed manual FWD
The Focus is a lot of car for the money compared to smaller cars that sell for similar prices. Incentives allow a sale price far below sticker.
20064dr Sedan 136-horsepower 2.0L I4
4-speed automatic FWD
Bought it new in March 25 2006.With dealer incentive paid $13,480.5/100,000 drive train warranty and 5/75 extended warranty
20062dr Hatch 136-horsepower 2.0L I4

I git a brand new, Top trim level, loaded car with Power everything, 6 disc CD/Mp3, ABS, Traction control, handling package for under $13,000.
20052dr Hatch 136-horsepower 2.0L I4

It was 2000 dollars less than the yaris, which had three times the miles...
20054dr Sedan 136-horsepower 2.0L I4
4-speed automatic FWD
$16,000 bought me a car with a ton of features (for the price), a $100,000 mile warranty, and decent gas milage.
20054dr Sedan 136-horsepower 2.0L I4
4-speed automatic FWD
The Focus is one of the cheapest cars in its class.
20054dr Hatch 136-horsepower 2.0L I4
4-speed automatic FWD
Cheap, reliable, easy in town.
20042dr Hatch 130-horsepower 2.0L I4
4-speed automatic FWD
It was an inexpensive car to purchase.
20042dr Hatch 145-horsepower 2.3L I4
4-speed automatic FWD
Not only is the sticker price on a used or new Focus low, the parts are low too. Dramatically lower than Euro or Japanese cars. For example, a Focus 30K service is around $200-$250. A Subaru 30K service is $400-$500.
20034dr Hatch 170-horsepower 2.0L I4
6-speed manual FWD
I paid $13,400 for a car that listed for $18,995. Used Protege5s were selling for more at the time. No other car with leather, sunroof, ABS, and such could be bought for a similar price.
20034dr Wagon 145-horsepower 2.3L I4
5-speed manual FWD
This was the most inexpensive wagon available at the time. Lots of value for the money.
20022dr Hatch 170-horsepower 2.0L I4
6-speed manual FWD
Under $300.00 a month
20022dr Hatch 170-horsepower 2.0L I4

20074dr Sedan 136-horsepower 2.0L I4
4-speed automatic FWD
What can I say, it's a cheap car. At the time I purchased in 2009, the car was almost three years old and still had a sale price of $13000. It's currently only worth less than half of what was paid four years later. I purchased this car because of need and very limited time to make a choice. I knew I didn't want another Nissan because of their weak engines. My sister had just bought the 08 Focus SE model a few months before and was happy with hers, so I thought this might be an okay choice. Read on.
20034dr Hatch 170-horsepower 2.0L I4

The Focus SVT would have cost me about $5,000 more than the Mazda Protege5.

2008 4dr SUV 242-horsepower 3.3L V6

Interior looked upscale, doors solid, no squeaks & rattles, thick materials everywhere.
2007 4dr SUV 185-horsepower 2.7L V6

Nice matte finish on doors and dash. Although not soft touch, the materials still feel and look very nice.
2007 4dr SUV 242-horsepower 3.3L V6

2007 4dr SUV 242-horsepower 3.3L V6

2006 4dr SUV 200-horsepower 3.5L V6

2011 4dr SUV 276-horsepower 3.5L V6
6-speed shiftable automatic AWD
Interior material feel slightly cheap and dated. A lot of hard plastics. Not as bad as some competitors (cr-v, Venza, Equinox) but should be as good as the Sonata.
2008 4dr SUV 242-horsepower 3.3L V6
5-speed shiftable automatic AWD
Some rattling common just because the build quality, interior is I would say subpar. Sometimes the seatbeats smack again the side of the door and if I only open the back windows then it is just a nuisance. The cd player has issues, not always reading CDS
2007 4dr SUV 185-horsepower 2.7L V6
4-speed shiftable automatic FWD
headliner had to be fixed soon after purchase and passenger hand grip came off when being held in a turn. Interior lighting is among worst I have ever seen.

What Our Members Are Saying about Ford Focus Materials and Workmanship

Available Features of the Ford Focus: Pros
YearBody/PowertrainComment
2009 4dr Sedan 140-horsepower 2.0L I4
4-speed automatic FWD
The car is well built and thus far the quality has been spot on.
2008 4dr Sedan 140-horsepower 2.0L I4
5-speed manual FWD
Fit and finish are vastly superior to previous-generation Focus (2000-2007). Interior is quiet, with Lexus-like panel fit and finish.
Materials and Workmanship of the Ford Focus: Cons
YearBody/PowertrainComment
2012 4dr Sedan 160-horsepower 2.0L I4
5-speed manual FWD
Much better than the old Focus, but the plastics are still pretty cheesy in spots.
2009 4dr Sedan 140-horsepower 2.0L I4
5-speed manual FWD
Carpet fraying.
2009 4dr Sedan 140-horsepower 2.0L I4
5-speed manual FWD
The quality of the materials in the Focus is definitely very cheap. A lot of hard, cheap plastic is used.
2008 2dr Coupe 140-horsepower 2.0L I4
5-speed manual FWD
Passenger seat rattles if the backrest is too straight and a bit of plastic around the defroster vent is warped. The steering wheel button labels are wearing off as well.
2007 4dr Hatch 136-horsepower 2.0L I4
4-speed automatic FWD
The workmanship and interior design is not great. Little rattles are showing up and I don't think I should be trying to silence them with my own little car-hacks. How much more could it have cost, Ford, to do this better?
2007 4dr Sedan 136-horsepower 2.0L I4
4-speed automatic FWD
As stated, this is a cheap car. Other than the engine block and frame, the car is built of cheap materials and it shows. A car that is only seven years old should not be falling apart on the inside! I am a single person, no kids, no family to haul around, and I take very good care of my car and keep it clean--and the seats, front armrest console, and plastics on the dash look worn out or have broken. Also, there are numerous noises that occur when the accelerator is pressed down even slightly, and the repair shop is not able to determine the cause or stop it from happening. Also, Ford kind of skimped on the safety features, so if you have a side-impact wreck, the odds are good you will have some serious injuries. I would not recommend this car for families with kids over the age of five, as there are no head restraints in the back seats.
2006 2dr Hatch 136-horsepower 2.0L I4
5-speed manual FWD
Very cheap and ill fitting interior materials. Trim pieces misaligned, trim over door frames coming loose, plastic flashing on almost all surfaces. Needs more sound proofing.
2005 4dr Hatch 136-horsepower 2.0L I4
4-speed automatic FWD
The over all cheap, rental car feeling
2002 2dr Hatch 170-horsepower 2.0L I4
6-speed manual FWD
Cheap materials used in sensitive areas.
