Fit and finish are very good. Doors open and close with a very solid thud -- no flimsy tin can feeling. Dash is well put together, no rattles. Paint is very good, no excessive orange peel.

What Our Members Are Saying about Kia Sportage Materials and Workmanship

Available Features of the Kia Sportage: Pros
YearBody/PowertrainComment
2009 4dr SUV turbocharged 140hp 2.0L I4 Diesel
6-speed manual FWD
We only looked at Kia because all other car seats were most uncomfortable; we were impressed too, it seemed well assembled. The best material bit is it comes with 5 alloy wheels, no horrible, temporary spare wheel.
Materials and Workmanship of the Kia Sportage: Cons
YearBody/PowertrainComment
2012 4dr SUV turbocharged 260hp 2.0L I4
6-speed shiftable automatic AWD
Borderline cheap, but solid and seems well put together so far. Definitely seen worse.
2008 4dr SUV 140-horsepower 2.0L I4
4-speed shiftable automatic FWD
Plastic is too hard, causing scratches diffcult to remove or hide
2008 4dr SUV 173-horsepower 2.7L V6
4-speed shiftable automatic AWD
thin fabric seat covers; shiny hard plastic trim
