Most of the thing I have fixed are wear and tear items and age. I really have not had problems that would not be normal to most cars 8-10 years old. A member from Ontario, Canada Best Reason to Buy the Jaguar S-Type: Exterior styling Distinctive, timeless elegance. I have 2 Jaguars and 1 Mercedes and I like Jags styling. Best Reason Not to Buy the Jaguar S-Type: Fuel economy 3.0 engine is adequate; comparing it with Jag XK8 4.0 and Merc E500 feels underpowered (which is expected), fuel economy is pretty much the same as the V8 E500 and XK8 if you step on the gas. Since I bought mine used, I used this to my advantage and got a nice car for about 3-4 thousand less than its competitors.
