HOWEVER, Jaguar skimped on the quality of some of the interior trim, like the vanity mirrors: both were already broken at 27,000 miles and render the sun visors useless. Best Reason Not to Buy the Jaguar X-Type: Fuel economy I think the car is capable of doing a bit better on Fuel Economy. It is a 3.0 Litre V6 that gets 23MPG on a highway trip. I know the AWD system hinders that but I have heard of other AWD cars doing better and performing better.
