A member from British Columbia, Canada Best Reason to Buy the Jeep Compass: Fuel economy The Compass has the fuel economy of a 4 cylinder sedan, with the comfort of an SUV. Yet those 4 cylinders put out approx 172 HP, more than enough to get the vehicle hussling down the road at a good pace without feeling gutless. Best Reason Not to Buy the Jeep Compass: Driving position & visibility The Compass does suffer from some points of limited visibility I feel. Backing up from angled parking, it can be difficult to see vehicles coming down the road. Also the front windshield has wide supports that tend to obscure visibility.
