Drove the truck approximately 6 km with temperature gauge pegged. Just wanted to get home. Cylinder head was slightly warped by overheating but still in spec enough it didn't need resurfacing or replacement. Water pump was replaced. Noisy, kind of rattling noise, for maybe 12 months before the front seal on the shaft went spewing coolant everywhere, but it was a cold night so I drove it home (approximately 12 km).
