Introduction

Purchased a 2WD Pat with the Altitude pkg over a 4x4 latitude. Performance in snowy Ohio winters without 4WD has been exceptional. I do not regret skipping the 4WD option.
rn
rnLots of aftermarket options (not as good as the wrangler, but still pretty good).
rn
rnReliability ratings so far give me hope that it will last as long as my previous toyota.
rn
rnPrice was AWESOME for all the features you get, and my dealership experience was wonderful (first new car purchase).

Why the 2012 Jeep Patriot?

Why Not the 2012 Jeep Patriot?

Fuel economy

I hoped for better mpgs. It is a little bit under the EPA estimates, especially in the winter time.

Tires

The firestone affinty stock tires are GARBAGE

Materials & workmanship

The interior has developed a few annoying rattles when driving on rough pavement

Conclusion

MPGs could be better, history of problems regarding the ball joints needing early replacement.

DO NOT buy a Patriot with a sunroof...notoriously leaks.
