2013 Jeep Patriot - one day test drive A member from New Brunswick, Canada Best Reason to Buy the Jeep Patriot: Interior styling Looks much more expensive than my 2009 patriot's interior. Very rich, good quality, great design. Looks even more expensive than this cheapest jeep is. Perhaps the best interior for my taste, comparable (in cheaper comparable vehicles) only with nissan rogue and subaru impreza/forester/xv. Very pleasant place to be for long drives. Drove the jeep for 3 hours, didn't want to stop. Folding front passenger seat is a real treat - you can put your snowboard inside without any problem. :) Best Reason Not to Buy the Jeep Patriot: Quietness The engine is basically the same engine as in Mitsubishi Outlander, Hyundai Tucson and Kia Sportage - this is a Hyundai-Mitsubishi-Chrysler designed so called World Engine. It is very reliable, but quite noisy. Other Reasons to Buy the Jeep Patriot: Exterior styling, Fuel economy, Past personal experience, Insurance & depreciation Other Reasons Not to Buy the Jeep Patriot: Dealership practices This member test drove the reviewed vehicle. read full review |

A member from Ontario, Canada Best Reason to Buy the Jeep Patriot: Price or payments The vehicle met all of my requirements: 4x4, reasonable fuel economy, reasonable towing capacity. I find the car to be roomy with excellent cargo space and it's easy to bring down the rear seats. The turn radius is amazing. I can pratically drive this thing around a tree. I was amazed at what I was able to do when I had to back a trailer around a bunch of obstacles. The dealer is the best dealership that I have ever done business with. Best Reason Not to Buy the Jeep Patriot: Reliability & durability I was left stranded 200 miles away from home when I could not get the car out of park and had to have it towed. The car was practically brand new. It took a week to get the car repaired. Chrysler fixed the car at no cost but I had to pay to have someone take me home and then back to pick up the car. Many rear suspension parts had to be replaced with only 45,000 KM (27500 miles) on the car. Other Reasons to Buy the Jeep Patriot: Powertrain performance This member owns or leases the reviewed vehicle. read full review |
