Reviewed: 2009 Jeep Patriot

4dr SUV 172-horsepower 2.4L I4 6-speed shiftable CVT AWD

Why the 2009 Jeep Patriot?

Fuel economy

The best in class: my average for summer is about 8 l/100 km, for winter about 11 l/100 km. my previous toyota matrix with smaller and weaker engine and not awd, was worse with fuel economy.

Driving position & visibility

very comfortable, easy to park. once driven from Montreal, 4 hours non-stop - my old back was still ok.

Reliability & durability

bulletproof reliability, never had a single problem. the same with all guys who own one. minor problems - yes, read about this on forums, but mostly - the most reliable vehicle from jeep lineup.

Feature availability

most features that require a lot of upgrades in other vehicles (read: that require a lot of money to get them) - they come standard with patriot. like ESP, roll mitigation, and all other possible electronic bells and whistles.
