Lexus Reliability for the Year Ending June 30, 2018

General NotesHow do we select "competing car models"? Users of TrueDelta's car price comparison tool most often compare these cars to the Lexus.

Models and statistics marked with an asterisk (*) have very low sample sizes. These results, visible only to logged-in members, provide only a rough estimate of car reliability.

Any result under 5 repair trips per 100 cars is likely a result of the small sample size, and should be expected to increase in future updates.

New models often start out with high repair rates, and then improve as the manufacturer identifies and addresses common problems. MethodologyOnly successfully completed repairs are currently included in the analysis. Routine maintenance, most wear items, recalls, and problems fixed with just a reflash or warning light reset are not included.

These stats are promptly updated four times a year, to much more closely track Lexus reliability as the cars age. 6-speed shiftable automatic AWD		 I am very disappointed inte reliability of this Lexus. I've always believed the hype about the excellent reliabiity of the Lexus brand. I have not had any major problems, but it seems there is always something coming up. It is the only car that has stranded me or my wife in the pst 10 years, and that wtih a pinhole in the radiator. The radiator is very cheaply made, easily damaged by road debris. This car has been to the shop more than any car I've owned in the last 10 years other than my 1980 Porsche 911 and it sate 10 years before I bought it. The list of issues includes no catastrophic problems but I am more than likly to get rid 0f it before something major does happen. Not sure if i bought a lemon of if the 2006, being a major upgrade year model is experiencing the pain of new model syndrome. see full Lexus review

This particular Lexus had been serviced by the local Lexus dealer several times, but there no attempt to fix the drive train noise. Their response was it is out of warranty. see full Lexus review
