2020 Lincoln MKZ 4dr Sedan

turbocharged 245hp 2.0L I4 6-speed shiftable automatic FWD

100 mi This car sat on the lot for 9 months, and the brake rotors were pitted all the way through the rotors, all 4 of them. This is part of lot rot that happens to cars. The battery also had to be replaced. Before you buy a lot car take it to a mechanic to look at the brakes first.

This vehicle left the Ford Mexican factory missing some of the brake hardware located at the driver front. Hardware designed to spread the two brake disc pads apart was missing. As a result, one of the four front brake pads had excessive wear to the point that it had to be replaced. Since only all four brake pads can be replaced at once, this job turned into a pre-mature front brake job, including new rotors in the front. (Missed out on maybe another 25,000 miles of brakes on the front.)

Low brake pedal likely due to stuck valve in ABS Hydraulic Control Unit. Replaced with salvage HCU (since part costs $800 new). This job would have easily been over $1000 if shop hadn't under-quoted labor and used brand new part.
