4dr SUV turbocharged 244hp 2.3L I4 6-speed shiftable automatic AWD

Why the 2007 Mazda CX-7?

Handling

Sporty, way ahead of the competition. *Almost* feels like a car. Little body roll for such a large vehicle.

Exterior styling

Exciting and sporty looking. Not just a square box on wheels. The design and curves have nothing else like them on the road in the SUV/CUV market.

Safety & braking

The CX7 can stop very quickly, especially for a 4000lb AWD vehicle.

Powertrain performance

While from-a-stop performance can be lacking, the CX7 has plenty of torque for passing, etc under everyday driving scenarios. Its not a high horsepower sports car, but when the turbo spools it puts a grin on your face every time.

Cargo capacity

The CX7 has a good size storage capacity.

Why Not the 2007 Mazda CX-7?

Fuel economy

Pretty poor, especially under 100% city driving. Not too much less than its competitors though. Most people see the CX7 has a 4 cylinder and think great mpg. Turbos eat gas! Highway mpg is on par with other vehicles in its size and weight range.
