Handling

Outdrove EVERYTHING I compared it against, out-corners everything in class, skid-pad xlnt, sports-car handling in a CUV, just cannot be beat. Weighs less than the others also, xlnt steering response, DSC and TCS systems manage power very well under load.

Exterior styling

Radical 66-degree windshield angle=unique design, agressive fenders, one-off styling cues in class. Mine gets lots of compliments, in White Pearl/black leather interior, with 22" wheels/tires. Best looking CUV in class, no comparison, Mazda all the way.

Feature availability

Love the GT "package" with Bose Stereo, HID lights/fog lights, upgraded leather interior, moonroof, color-keyed heated mirrors, power seat, etc. Nav system DVD-based though, so I passed and got a Garmin Nuvi 660 instead, much better choice. GT=great value

Ride smoothness

Sporty is as sporty does, so you lose a smooth ride and gain a CUV with sports car handling, not a bad trade-off, but Mazda could work on defining/refining the ride some, just to make it better than it is now. Also, make it QUIETER! Needs that a lot!!
