Handling

Handles like a big car, not like a big track (i.e. - Honda Odyssey)

Feature availability

My passengers can roll their windows down! At the time of our purchase this was the only minivan that offered this feature.

Powertrain performance

The engine is not as strong and smooth as those that you can find in Honda and Toyota minivans

Fuel economy

Even though MPV is smaller, it is more thirsty than most other vans. Common, Mazda!

Cargo capacity

This is a tricky question. I do like cargo capacity and towing ability, works for me just fine. However, if you have 5 kids and have to tow a 30 feet boat, look elsewhere.

Materials & workmanship

I am not sure how it compares to other vans, but having owned both, I understand why Mazda is half-a-price of a Volvo wagon.
