2006 Mazda Mazda3 Pros and Cons at TrueDelta: Owner Pros and Cons by john.kues

Powertrain performance
Good performance and nice manual transmission. Got the 2.3 because it was standard with the other options we wanted. Would have preferred the 2.0 for better fuel economy.
Handling
It handles well, allows good speed on curvy roads.
Reliability & durability
So far it has held up well, but it only has about 20K miles on it.

Fuel economy
I typically get around 25 mpg, though it might be improving. Will see on an upcoming trip.
Cargo capacity
The seats fold down clumsily, and the shelf is awkward. It does not seem designed for convenience.
Audio & nav systems
The NAV system is clumsy. We have one in a Honda Odyssey that is much easier to use. I think this one is based on a CD based system that was put on DVD. You need to select the region of the country you want, not just City & State.
