Tons of fun to drive on windy back roads in New England. Steering is quick and responsive. After ten years of owning, still handled like the day I bought it. Best Reason Not to Buy the Mercedes-Benz C-Class: Interior styling Plastic trim pieces are cheap and can break easily. The fold-out center cup holder is a terrible design and also breaks. Virtually no rear seat room. Best Reason Not to Buy the Mercedes-Benz C-Class: Fuel economy The city mpg is usually around 15-17 mpg. Now that's for a hilly neighborhood in a big city, but still. True highway mileage usually about 26 - that's reasonable enough for us. Best Reason Not to Buy the Mercedes-Benz C-Class: Cargo capacity & towing Not suitable for towing much of anything. Trunk is small, which is not a problem for me, but might be an issue for others. Auto wipers that work not that great, and no matter how much I changed or cleaned the wipers or the glass, it never works smoothly. Check engine light came on and had to replace a part. Water in one of the exterior mirrors.
