Mercedes-Benz E-Class Fuel Economy: Cons
Year Body/Powertrain Comment
2008 4dr Sedan 268-hp 3.5L V6 7-sp shiftable automatic AWD The 4matic full time all wheel drive means the absolute best of 100% highway cruising only gave me 27 MPG. In the city I usually average under 15 MPG.
2007 4dr Sedan 268-hp 3.5L V6 7-sp shiftable automatic AWD we get about 25 mpg with the 268 hp V6 4 matic on the road . Maybe 16-17 in town .
2006 4dr Sedan 268-hp 3.5L V6 7-sp shiftable automatic AWD I average 16mpg around town. Not good.
2005 4dr Sedan 507-hp 6.2L V8 7-sp shiftable automatic RWD Average 17 MPG. 10 MPG when having fun!
2004 4dr Sedan 507-hp 6.2L V8 7-sp shiftable automatic RWD While my AMG was an iron beast something is wrong when so many gas station attendants know you on a first name basis. With the cost of premium fuel and an average of 14 mpg it was time to say goodbye.
2003 4dr Sedan 382-hp 5.5L V8 7-sp shiftable automatic RWD E500 is very bad on gas
