Why the 2005 Mercury Montego?

Rear seat room & comfort

My parents are aging & dad has a replaced hip. The height of both the front & rear seats makes it easier to get in & out of the car.

Driving position & visibility

Sits higher than most sedans - not as high as an SUV or pickup, though. Lots of glass and very small blind spots.

Handling

Corners very flat for a large car. Maneuvers in parking lots easily. Absorbs bumps well without wallowing.

Fuel economy

A large car that gets over 20 MPG in city driving is great. The 29 MPG highway rating is nice, but the car is mainly used as a grocery getter / errand runner.
