Why the 2009 Mitsubishi Lancer?

Handling

The 2009-2011 Lancer GTS handles unlike any car in its class. I also own a scion tc and its handling is no where near that of the lancer. The lancer allows the driver to feel confident in almost any condition without having to pay too much money.

Powertrain performance

The 168hp engine is not to be compared to the evos 291hp engine but it is a nice compromise between performance and fuel economy.

Exterior styling

It is so aggressive for a 20k car. Many people mistake my lancer for an EVO X.

Reliability & durability

I have owned my lancer for almost three years now,it has 59k miles and I have had 0 issues, I am still using the same bulbs, brakes and rotors that came with the car. my friends 08 328i has already had his window motor go out at 65k amongst other things

Price or payments

Good, got it for 2.5k under MSRP.

Why Not the 2009 Mitsubishi Lancer?

Quietness

Road noise i orig thought was common to ecobox cars until My friends parents bought a 2008 328i and he drives it regularly, we took a drive in it and i was shocked with the amount of road noise that is heard, it was almost comparable to the lance

Insurance cost

High, insurance companies tend to throw this in the EVOX category. Plus many drivers with a lancer Think they have an evo so they drive it like they stole it and crash...raising lancer crash rates.

Dealer practices

Original dealership closed down because of poor practices, since then a new one has opened and they have much better practices, so far I have been satisfied with their work and decent prices.
