Why the 2003 Nissan 350Z?

Price or payments

Every other car out there is either slower around a track, or costs more than the 350Z.

Handling

The car is very heavy for a 2 seater, but it makes up for it with power and stiffness. The 350Z holds the road very well and can enter turns without understeer. It is also well balanced, but can have twitchy oversteer coming out of turns.

Powertrain performance

The power is very responsive and the automatic transmission shifts fast. Newer Nissan engines have loads of power, but less throttle control, as they are tweaked for low RPM power for city driving.

Why Not the 2003 Nissan 350Z?

Fuel economy

You might not care about fuel economy in a sports car, but as my daily driver I spend about $200/mo in gas.

Ride smoothness

Sportscars are supposed to ride rough. The 350Z rides EXTRA rough, with its stiff suspension. Think twice before taking a 350Z on long trips.

Rear seat room & comfort

Giving up a rear seat in exchange for performance is a great idea... for a track car.
