Reliability and Durability of the Nissan 350Z / 370Z: Pros
YearBody/PowertrainComment
2009 2dr Hatch 332-horsepower 3.7L V6
6-speed manual RWD
My last two Nissans have each gone over 150,000 miles. Both were easy keepers, reliable, and inexpensive to service. I expect the same from this one. Servicing costs on the Cayman are a nightmare by comparison, despite long recommended service interval
2008 2dr Hatch 306-horsepower 3.5L V6
5-speed shiftable automatic RWD
Very reliable, have not had long enough to evaluate durability.
2007 2dr Convertible 306-horsepower 3.5L V6
5-speed shiftable automatic RWD
I drove this car in 15 degree weather, It cranked up the same as 80-90 degree days
2006 2dr Convertible 300-horsepower 3.5L V6
6-speed manual RWD
So far no problems.
2005 2dr Hatch 287-horsepower 3.5L V6
5-speed shiftable automatic RWD
nissans have always been know to be well built and reliable.
2004 2dr Hatch 287-horsepower 3.5L V6
6-speed manual RWD
Strong, durable engine and drivetrain. Have only had standard maintenance - no repairs. This includes taking the car to the track and autocross on occasion.
2004 2dr Hatch 287-horsepower 3.5L V6
5-speed shiftable automatic RWD
Relatively cheap to maintan for a sportscar. Nissan engines can run pretty high in mileage and be just fine.
2004 2dr Hatch 287-horsepower 3.5L V6
5-speed shiftable automatic RWD
never had to do any major repairs on my Z
2003 2dr Hatch 287-horsepower 3.5L V6
6-speed manual RWD
daily driver with only 2 small blips requiring attention
2003 2dr Hatch 287-horsepower 3.5L V6
6-speed manual RWD
My car has 50k on it and it was heavily track used by the previous owner. Basically no problems or major repairs. Pwr steering pump went out, given it was a first year model, notorious for bugs. After that, only needed new tires.
2003 2dr Hatch 287-horsepower 3.5L V6
6-speed manual RWD
Its engineered to last and the parts are reasonable, not cheap, but reasonable
2003 2dr Hatch 287-horsepower 3.5L V6
6-speed manual RWD
Nissan has a decent reputation for quality. After doing copious research I found the 350Z to have pretty darn good reliability for a sports car.
