Heat shield of bank 1 catalytic converter became loose due to failing welds. This caused a rattling noise and started leaking on the spot weld. We drilled the spot weld to remove them, enlarged hole and make a thread on them. Then installed screws to hold the heat shield and welded the screws to the heat shield to prevent loosening. Engine oil leak at the upper oil pan front half moon seal. Seals replaced. After repair, inspected area and still can see an oil weep in the area. Before fully inspecting, I think its a failure of the gray sealant on the oil pan. Will try the repair in the future. Replaced all coolant rubber hoses.
