Why the 2005 Nissan Frontier?

Exterior styling

Looks sharp with the short box crew cab and the NISMO package. Get the full options with roof racks as this looks great. Toyota only had dibs on the hood and that is where it all ends. They are 10 years behind otherise.

Interior styling

Everything laid out perfectly, radio/cruise controls on steering wheel is great, seats are very good, and storage under rear seats is great. Box features (tie downs, bed extender, etc) are top notch.

Why Not the 2005 Nissan Frontier?

Fuel economy

Overrated to what is identified. I know it is a truck but the mileage is far from what Nissan claims.

Reliability & durability

Less than 40K miles and have already replaced one head on the engine, caliper, rear driveshaft, and differential. The VQ40 has numerous issues (timing chain tensioners, valve slop, piston slap) and cheap parts. Do your research before buying.

Safety & braking

Brakes do not perform well especially if you have a load behind. Brakes replaced with less than 40K miles including 2 calipers.
