Why the 2006 Nissan Frontier?

Why Not the 2006 Nissan Frontier?

Powertrain performance

Transmission failure is a common occurrence with the Frontier. This problem is known by Nissan, yet they had to be forced to come to grips with this via a Class Action Lawsuit. This is the 2nd Nissan Transmission that has failed me. NISSAN NEVER AGAIN! for me!

Fuel economy

Fuel Economy is terrible with the V6. Just Awful

Reliability & durability

Not a reliable vehicle. Unless you like shelling out $4500 for a new transmission. COMMON OCCURENCE! I caught the transmission failure at an early stage. Yet I had to constantly check in with 2 Nissan Dealers to catch this early. Coolant is leaking into the transmission. POOR DESIGN NISSAN!

Brand reputation & image

Nissan will be losing market share after all of these lawsuits. The only truck left that is reliable will be obvious. The Tacoma

Dealer practices

They are just like everyone else. Do your homework before you buy.

Conclusion

Just a Total disappointment. I purchased this vehicle to last 200K miles. It only went 127K. Wow. A Tacoma will always last longer if taken care of.
