Reviewed: 2011 Nissan JUKE

4dr SUV turbocharged 188hp 1.6L I4 6-speed shiftable CVT AWD

Why the 2011 Nissan JUKE?

Handling

Firm with minimal body roll and the ride is not rough because of its long suspension travel (higher ground clearance). Slip-sensing AWD mode helps grip in snow. Torque vectoring AWD mode fights under steer on pavement and is similar to systems like S-AWC.

Feature availability

Many advanced features are available. All the trim levels are a great value for the money. Many cars in the same price range as a Juke cost more when they are comparably equipped. The base model Juke is better equipped than many other competitors at base.

Controls and instruments

The controls are ergonomic and function with ease. If there is a sensor for something in the car, chances are there is a gauge for it. Boost pressure, torque distribution, lateral and longitudinal g-forces, detailed driving statistics, tire pressure, etc.

Safety & braking

Stability control, ABS brakes with electronic brake-force distribution, and powered brake assist work very well. Comes with upper side curtain airbags in front and back and also has lower side curtain airbags in the front. Active head restraints up front.
