4dr SUV 170-horsepower 2.5L I4 6-speed shiftable CVT AWD

Why the 2008 Nissan Rogue?

Why Not the 2008 Nissan Rogue?

Fuel economy

Got the Rogue instead of a Murano, based on reviews and mileage...maybe something wrong but gettting terrible mileage avg just under 20 combined with lots of hwy driving..will wait till 100K probably then do a full head to toe...dealersaid they found nothing wrong-hmpf!

Interior styling

a little tight, maybe moreso than my old Altima, don't like the black dash-yes heat transmission...rear headrests dont adjust, come out...think they could have done better on the center console, overall look...also placement of some items strange-such as the mirror adjustment-not very safe while driving

Feature availability

This could be under exterior I suppose, but no secure/locking gas door like on my older altima...otherwise it's a semi-narrow cute ute, roof slope definitely takes away from cargo capacity, and think I'd like the toyota full sz spare, but not a biggie...not sure where to put this: but sunroof is quite small.

Controls and instruments

instrument readouts are orange-you decide, not impressed with the stereo readout-nicer on murano..see above on mirrors..think they could have taken some tips from competitors, auto dim mirror not all that...hard to use map lights while driving-too strong/broad range

Other Features of the 2008 Nissan Rogue

Color choices

think they added a brownish recently, but miss those kinds of hues/gold/golden beige AND the interior gray black/silver kinda blah..like the wood grain, and beiges found in murano, rav and santa fe

Powertrain performance

Not sure yet on this one, makinga popcorn noise when coasting sometimes-again gonna save it for the 100K check

Front seat support & comfort

Front seat support & comfort

Not a big fan of the front seat, maybe better not in leather, the combo of adjustments just doesnt seem to do it for me

Conclusion

it isnt for everybody, but for some it is, needs better mileage esp sacrificing space, width, and capacity of a Murano...some items in engine look very diff to self service, but then again many modern vehicles arent much better
