Extensive research made me notice the Vibe. I was pleased with my purchase, but when my car was exposed to the worst of Hurricanes Gustav & Ike--with NOT EVEN MINOR DAMAGE--I was thrilled. Even my beloved Accord was not this realiable in the 1st 6 months!

It has the Toyota Corrola platform which has a proven track record. Plenty of available parts if/when repairs are needed.

going by reputation but i once had a toyota tercel stick and i only did one clutch in 270M miles and when inspected for emissions the engine still had factory specs.they do put out water to tailpipe but vibe is stainless steel muffler a refinement.

2008 4dr Wagon turbocharged 260hp 2.0L I4

I have driven the car 25000 miles in 9 months and have not had a single problem. Only maintenance is oil changes and tire rotation.

I have a 2008 HHR SS, and every time it needs a repair the parts are on INDEFINATE BACKORDER from GM and I have to phone random dealers across North America to find the parts myself. The quality of service from GM service shops are way below the quality of service I get at my normal shop. T Items replaced since I bought it new: 1 - Wiring harness failure 2 - Shifter linkage failure 3 - Shifter cables failure 4 - Stereo failure 5 - Sunroof failure 6 - Suspension bushings And now the bottom of the doors are rusty. Under warranty the first 3 years I had a Malibu loaner car a total of 8 weeks! Today this car has 46k on it and it feels like 200k. This car has proved to be very unreliable and I would never buy another Chevy again.

I have driven this car over 14,000 miles in less than a year and I have not had to take it back to the dealer for any repairs.

everything, had no problems.
2006 4dr Wagon 172-horsepower 2.4L I4

For such a cheap car, this one has been very reliable. A few things, but nothing that surprised me, or was hard to fix.

I have had problems with GM engines. It is assembled in Mexico and has workmanship issues that relate back to reliability.
