Why the 2006 Saab 9-3?

Handling

Saabs have a unique handling - not sports car or best in the business but they do well in curves and around town.

Exterior styling

I miss the hatchback style and hope it will come back. Overall very well made and clean design. Also materials such as paint - flawless - no orange peel whatsoever. Sporty yet conservative.

Powertrain performance

The turbo is a fun zippy motor. Keep in mind the stoplight grand prix set will not approve but this car is built for the 30-70 highway rush.

Controls and instruments

I prefer the original Saab controls with multiple buttons etc, before GM sandwiched the Chevy Radio and HVAC controls - to the average user - a bit complicated - to an avid Saab person - able to be mastered quickly and very cockpit like.

Reliability & durability

39 month lease period - had the gas tank cap check engine issue - a later recall. Had the passenger window refuse to go all the way up - a known safety sensor issue. The battery went dead in the key fob. Thats it! Very dependable and high quality vehicle!
