Why the 2007 Saab 9-5?

Driving position & visibility

Too many cars nowadays have visibility like squatting in a rain barrel. The Saab 9-5 doesn't. I'm rather short, and yet I can still keep the seat in its lowest position and still have a great view out. Seats are amazing too.

Powertrain performance

It's wicked fast, especially in sport mode. 140 km/h can be reached with extreme ease and at low speeds, it's very deft in city traffic.

Fuel economy

Fuel economy is outstanding for such a fast car. At a steady 100 km/h speed, I can keep my economy numbers at 7.5 L/100km or lower

Controls and instruments

Controls are first rate. I can use most without even looking at them.

Handling

I haven't managed to bring this car anywhere near its limit. That's saying something.

Why Not the 2007 Saab 9-5?

Quietness

It's loud. And not always the good kind of loud either. I rather enjoy a bit of engine noise, but it gets excessive and transmission whine is a problem too.

Color choices

Let's see... Blue, white, gold, black, or silver. That's about it. Standard, boring palatte.

Audio & nav systems

No iPod dock. A major oversight for a 2007 model car. Only an audio input jack.
