Why the 2008 Saturn ASTRA?

Cargo capacity

Very few cars offer a 4 door hatchback capacity. I needed the cargo capacity of a CUV but the fuel economy of a compact car. Astra provides the perfect balance of both requirements.

Ride smoothness

When compared to the 2009 Pontiac Vibe, the Astra soaks up the bumps and potholes in the rode without becomming unsettled or unstable. Plus the Astra is a very quite ride when compared to other cars in this segment.

Materials & workmanship

Very high quality materials are used. Fit and finish is top notch. A lot of attention has been paid to the minor details of car ownership. Tight body gaps. Solid door closure efforts. Feels and sounds like a car easily worth twice its price.

Fuel economy

During my normal driving habits I can easily obtain 32 mpg. I can obtain vaules much higher with more practice. My last car, on a good day, could only barely obtain 26 mpg. I am in more control of my fuel economy with a manual than with an automatic.

Feature availability

The panoramic moon roof, the express down windows, the key fob, the steering wheel controls, the board computer, heated cloth seats, and rain sense wipers. I like the telescopic steering wheel too.
