This is an economy car, but comes standard (XR model) with auto on/off headlights, rain sensing wipers and telescoping steering wheel. The optional features list includes a very large sunroof/sky light and cloth or leather heated seats.
I do not have the sport package on my car. However, the steering is sharp. It handles almost as well as our MINI without the harsh ride.
When I originally test drove/purchased the car it was very quiet for a car in its class! Over the first two months, it has developed a couple that I quelled with some weather stripping and search on Saturn forums.
The car gets descent fuel economy. It is not as good as I would have expected a 1.8L to be, but is as good or better than other cars I was considering (VW Rabbit and Mazda3).
This car is much more refined and has better features than our 1998 Saturn SL2 that we traded. With the discounts and incentives, the price was almost identical to what our 1998 SL2 cost 11 years ago!
