2011 Scion tC 2dr Hatch

180-horsepower 2.5L I4 6-speed manual FWD

3000 mi Moon roof makes clicking noise every 5 seconds. Louder than wind noise and stereo. Tech kept the car for 2 days but nothing was done. Two weeks later, took the car there and showed the noise to tech. Next appointment is end of April.
4700 mi Took it in for the same moon roof noise. Left the car for 2 days and nothing was done again. The noise is there everyday to & from work but they just say the noise isn't there. The moon roof started to rattle too recently.
5500 mi I found a broken part on the moon roof rail of the passenger side. They replaced the whole rail because the broken part is a part of the rail. The noise is gone, but it sucks that "I" had to find the problem rather than them to get it fixed
7000 mi Noise was still there. Brought the car in. Prove the existence of the noise to the service manager. Dealer kept the car over a month trying to fix it. They were not able to fix it and gave up on fixing it. Dealer won't do anything more.
8000 mi In case anyone is interested, I uploaded the video of the roof noise on YouTube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-mQGLz1RLuE http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OVo7Uq3Zxtw
10500 mi The dealer was not able to fix the problem. They bought the car back.

80000 mi

US $180
Plastic hatch handle piece broke off.
180000 mi

US $75
To open hatch you press a bar just above the license plate to release the latch then lift up. The part you lift is cheap plastic. I have seen these broken on several tC's. Bought part online that has better steel reinforcement.
