2010 Subaru Legacy Pros and Cons at TrueDelta: Owner Pros and Cons by jalevy15

Past personal experience
This is my second Legacy - the 2005 I previously owned was a wonderful vehicle but I typically only keep cars for 2-3 years. I like my dealer and the service, when necessary was very good.
Powertrain performance
The turbo power train is excellent - smooth and fun to drive. Sub 6 sec 0-60 for a 30K car is great and the safety/stability of AWD is excellent.
Price or payments
The price for quality and performance is unbeatable compared to anything else on the market in my opinion. I got a good lease deal and the residual is strong as well.
Safety & braking
The 2010 has much better stock brakes than the 2005. It is much more reliable and fade free. The traction control, hill assist and complement of airbags are also better than the previous model.
Exterior styling
The look is not great and the stance is off - too high of a ride height over the 18" tire/wheel combination. The body is similar to too many other cars while the old one was much more unique - in a good way.
Discounts & incentives
I feel like I got a good price, but with the market where it was, Subaru was one of the only manufacturers that was still really selling so incentives were weak compared to other companies.
