Why the 2005 Toyota Corolla?

Interior styling

Woodgrain trim of the LE adds a luxury touch to the cabin. Gauges are easy to read, simple, yet stylish. Grey cloth bucket seats are nothing special, but expected for the price paid. Center console is easy to use.

Powertrain performance

Not very smooth, however it emphasizes driver comfort. I was able to learn stick very quickly on this car. Clutch releases toward the top, to minimize mistakes by driver. Gearing isnt strong, but powerband is very linear through 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gears.

Fuel economy

37 mpg and its not even a hybrid, enough said.

Quietness

Drive by wire system in addition to the plastic engine cover, stock intake configuration and material, and sound deadening material on the inside of the hood makes the engine very quiet.

Driving position & visibility

Driver sits upright and tall in the cabin, and is able to see much more. Seating position emphasizes comfort for people of all sizes.
