2009 4dr Hatch 158-horsepower 2.4L I4
5-speed manual FWD
Proven toyota reliability.
2009 4dr Hatch 132-horsepower 1.8L I4
4-speed automatic FWD
good reputation
2006 4dr Hatch 126-horsepower 1.8L I4
5-speed manual FWD
I have had no issues with the Matrix. Never had to bring for repairs on anything, just oil and filter changes.
2006 4dr Hatch 118-horsepower 1.8L I4
4-speed automatic AWD
This catagory is the #1 reason we looked at Toyota when we were new car shopping in 2006. Dependability and Resale. As I mentioned earlier, we're at 82,000 miles and have kept on top of the manufacturer suggested regular maintenance - oil/filters changes, transmission/transfer case fluids changes, coolant and refrigerant changes, brakes at 45,000miles, etc. We have had 100% dependability with this little rascal and it has NOT failed to start and give us a ride,,,, ever. The Toyota Matrix delivers what we had hoped and what we expected it would.
2005 4dr Hatch 123-horsepower 1.8L I4
4-speed automatic AWD
We have had uniformly good experience with Toyotas.
2005 4dr Hatch 130-horsepower 1.8L I4
4-speed automatic FWD
so far no real mechanical issues. There was a hard start issue which Toyota/dealership eventually admitted and corrected after many attempts and denial that this problem existed
2005 4dr Hatch 130-horsepower 1.8L I4
4-speed automatic FWD
Excellent reviews, have not had any problems so far.
2004 4dr Hatch 130-horsepower 1.8L I4
4-speed automatic FWD
Toyotas are known for reliability and durability; this car replaced a 14-year-old Toyota with 180,000 miles (and going strong). I bought this Matrix with 73,000 miles, and expect to get over 200,000 out of it.
2004 4dr Hatch 130-horsepower 1.8L I4
4-speed automatic FWD
Had the car for 4 years never had major repair.
2004 4dr Hatch 130-horsepower 1.8L I4
5-speed manual FWD
I have not had to put money into repairs!

2010 4dr Extended Cab 6.5ft bed 315-horsepower 5.3L V8
6-speed shiftable automatic RWD
I had currently owned a Dodge Ram 1500 I bought new in 2000 and it became a major repair magnet. Two new engines, rebuilt transmission etc. The Silverados my friends have owned for years have been very reliable.
2008 4dr Extended Cab 6.5ft bed 315-horsepower 5.3L V8
4-speed automatic RWD
Prior experience with GM trucks tells me that this one will last for years. No problems to speak of to this point.
2006 4dr Crew Cab 5.5ft bed 295-horsepower 5.3L V8
4-speed automatic RWD
Have not had any major failures with this truck
2006 4dr Crew Cab 5.5ft bed 295-horsepower 5.3L V8
4-speed automatic 4WD w/low range
My 2006 is a proven performer. Much like any GM truck, the Silverado has a great reputation for reliability and durability, unmatched by any other manufacturer.
2006 4dr Extended Cab 6.5ft bed 295-horsepower 5.3L V8
4-speed automatic RWD
I decided on the Silverado because of its reliable 5.3L engine, which there are Chevrolets with these engines with over 200k still on the road; I also went with the Silverado because of my past experience with Chevrolets
2004 4dr Extended Cab 6.5ft bed 295-horsepower 5.3L V8
4-speed automatic RWD
No problems at all.
2002 4dr Extended Cab 6.5ft bed 285-horsepower 5.3L V8
4-speed automatic 4WD w/low range
At 125,000 miles, the Silverado has never given me any troubles with getting from point "A" to point "B".

2004 4dr Crew Cab 5.5ft bed 295-horsepower 5.3L V8
4-speed automatic 4WD, part-time w/low range
This vehicle had less than 30000 miles and it had many issues with the drivetrain. I cannot begin to explain the frustration I had with this truck.
2003 4dr Extended Cab 6.5ft bed 300-horsepower 6.0L V8
4-speed automatic RWD
more repairs on it than the Honda Pilot
2003 4dr Extended Cab 6.5ft bed 285-horsepower 5.3L V8
4-speed automatic 4WD w/low range
Front axel seal, MAF sensor, transmission shifting poorly at 105,000 already. I think it now has a fuel pump issue also, along with some EVAP emissions code. Fuel pumps go out on these frequently after 100,000 miles.
