Why the 2010 Toyota Prius?

Fuel economy

When not driving aggressively, fuel economy exceeds EPA estimates.

Reliability & durability

This car has not had any issues starting or running. My father-in-law put his 2nd gen through 120k miles in under 5 years with the same results.

Quietness

This is the quietest car you can drive besides a Tesla. In EV mode, even with the windows down, the loudest noise is stones in the tires.

Ride smoothness

For a small vehicle with a shallow clearance, this vehicle is surprisingly confortable even with potholes.

Price or payments

The prius is not very expensive compared to other hybrids, in fuel or maintenance costs.

Why Not the 2010 Toyota Prius?

Handling

Absolutely useless in snow. Due to weight distribution, this vehicle CANNOT maneuver in the snow at all. Other weather conditions have not caused issues. It has a fairly good turning radius, but bottoms out easily, especially on the front apron.

Driving position & visibility

There are many large blind spots. THe most noticable is the direct rear. I cannot see any license plates or turn signals without using side mirrors. There is a bad blind spot at driver rear, in what would be a single car length back one lane to left
