Some of the best in class passing power and acceleration, while retaining above-average fuel economy. Optional V6 is great; would not have considered RAV6 if the only engine was the standard I4.
Good cargo room. Vehicle much larger inside than it looks on outside. Rear seats fold flat easily, and low bumper height makes it easy to stow items. Roofracks add capacity, and V6 allows for towing. Vehicle wide enough not to bump elbows constantly.
AWD, brake force distribution, stability and traction control, and ABS provide a level of confidence in inclement weather (of course, the driver must not get overconfident and must drive safely in any vehicle).
After trading in a car that was in the shop 6+ times a year, I wanted a vehicle with an above-average likelihood of reliability. This vehicle has so far lived up to reliability expectations.
