Lights on dashboard - Trac. control, Check Engine and 4WD. Plus cruise control stopped working. Took car to dealer. Assessed the problem to be with charcoal canister, pipes, and filler-pipe. Entire system had to be replaced for $1400+! 
2000 mi Check engine light illuminated, along with other warning lights. My wife took the Rav4 to the dealer. They said the gas cap was not tight enough, so they tightened it. The warning lights are now out. The problem hasn't recurred. 
6500 mi replaced gas tank and hoses as per TSB. Check engine lights came on, as well as the 4wd light ans the cruise control didnt work through this process. 
6000 mi Service engine light came on as well as 4wd light. We had no cruise control either. Took to the dealer and they had to replace the gas tank and all of the lines connecting to the tank. There was a TSB on the issue.
