Why the 2006 Toyota Solara?

Materials & workmanship

Bank vault solid

Powertrain performance

100 MPH is here in NO time... you feel parked.

Reliability & durability

Remember Toyota? Me to. It STILL is in this car. UPDATE: My ragtop now have over 107000 miles on her.... not a blink of trouble. Tires, brakes, a battery or two, a timing chain (preventative) at 90K.... i still can't think of an actual "issue" with the build quality on this car. It is as over-enginered as Benz Sl from the 80's... (back when THAT meant something) Honestly? I would recommend this car to ANYONE who wanted a roomy ragtop. It breaks my heart that they don't make them anymore... I am at a loss with what I will eventually replace her with. Thankfully, at this rate? it will be 2020!

Quietness

Lexus quiet--in a RAGtop.

Ride smoothness

Butter smooth ride. UPDATE: Still as smooth as silk.
