Persistent engine knock/piston slap noises. Dealer says normal condition on this model. My 2006 Tacoma with same engine and transmission had none of these noises.
Metallic tapping noise coming from engine at idle and under load at very low RPM. They reflashed the ECU. Probably a TSB for running too lean. Noise is gone.
