Sought out for our extremely positive experience with regard to reliability. 08 Highlander SR5 gave us 4 yrs of problem free ownership --- Now going on 18 months with Venza of same. Best Reason Not to Buy the Toyota Venza: Fuel economy Would like to see Toyota add a hybrid model to the Venza line. If they did I would buy a another one to replace our current 2nd car. As is I am leaning toward a Golf TDI wagon. Highlander hybrid is too pricey for us. Venza gives us 22 mpg combined. A member from Virginia, United States Best Reason to Buy the Toyota Venza: Exterior styling Distinctive and contemporary - best looking of the 'crossover' type vehicles although I consider this a wagon and not a crossover. Looks more like a car than a jacked up and boxy SUV. Best Reason Not to Buy the Toyota Venza: Quietness On less than perfect roads the road noise is a bit annoying. This may be due to the Goodyear Eagle RS-A tires. If the road surface is smooth asphalt, then the road noise is minimal. Maybe switching to Michelin Lattitude HP tires would help.
