Why the 2008 Volkswagen Rabbit?

Interior styling

Classic mature styling. Most cars in this price range either look cheap inside, or like something designed to appeal to 16 year olds. The Rabbit just has a nice simple elegant dash with brushed aluminum accents, ergonomic controls, and good placement.

Ride smoothness

Smooth but not mushy ride. Many compacts feel harsh, the Rabbit does not.

Why Not the 2008 Volkswagen Rabbit?

Fuel economy

I only get about 23-26mpg, even on long highway trips. The EPA rating for highway is 29 and I struggle to even come close.

Rear seat room & comfort

It works fine for me, but if you have adults that use the rear seat often they may find it a little uncomfortable for long trips. The legroom is decent, but the seats are a bit hard and not all that ergonomic.

Audio & nav systems

The audio is kind of lackluster. The speakers crackle under bassy music, and the iPod connection picks up noise from the engine.
