The Turbo Inline 4 in the GTI is an incredibly smooth and responsive engine with a lot of torque all the way across the power band, always leaving the driver with that added punch and acceleration when needed. A blast to drive! Excellent 6 speed manual.
Very high quality fit and finish inside, well bolstered seats, excellent leather steering wheel and shifter. Lots of subtle attention to detail show that they spent TIME on this interior and its a cut above anything else in class. Touch screen iPod stereo
So far averaging 25mpg with spirited mix of city (65%) and hwy (35%) driving. Great fuel economy even for a fast turbo charged car.
Feels like it is glued to the road. Very solid and on par with higher end rear wheel cars like BMW etc. Excellent handling.
