Why the 2005 Volvo V70?

Feature availability

1. Utility. I can easily put a roof rack on to carry a canoe, rocket box, etc. 2. The cargo space with rear seats up or down holds all my gear. 3. I can load all my grandkids using built-in booster seats and latches. 4. Cargo/pet barrier.

Front seat support & comfort

I have been driving Volvos for 45 years, starting with a PV444. With every model the seats are the most comfortable and best support for driving. They provide leg, lumbar, and side support, and both driver and passenger seats have 6 way controls.

Fuel economy

Surprising fuel economy for the 2.5 turbo 208 hp engine. Several road trips with consistent 30 mpg at freeway speeds (70-75 mph). Around the city 22 - 25 mpg in mixed stop and go and freeway trips. The trip computer is usually 2 mpg less than actual.

Driving position & visibility

The 6 way adjustable seat, mirrors, and windows provide full visibility. The wagon allows the driver to see the rear corners. Driving position is adjustable for tall and short drivers. Seats are so comfortable that there is no fatigue on a long trip.
