We consistently get 30-33 mpg on the road which puts it at the bottom of the barely acceptable IMHO. Still, that's better than most we looked at cars of that age. It has a small, but peppy engine that gives us all the power we're interested in.

Mileage isn't that great for a car its size (28-30 mpg highway), but it's still pretty good in the scheme of things. Also helps that it works fine w/ 87 octane fuel.

4dr Sedan 136-horsepower 2.0L I4 4-speed automatic FWD
Car gets very respectable fuel economy. It is not a standout with todays new vehicles, but will hold its own. 100% city driving is usually met with a mpg average of approximately 28. This is good considering driving style is not suited for fuel mileage. On the highway, as long as speeds are kept around 70, the car will return figures from 32-37.

I have a 30 mile per direction commute to work, so fuel economy was of utmost importance. This car gets better than average fuel economy because it is very lightweight. However, I average around 32mpg highway (80% highway) and around 21mpg city (20% city). This is not the purported 38/29 highway/city mpg that was advised at the time of purchase.

My average fuel economy is in the low 30s when I measure it manually, and an aftermarket trip computer reports 40+ mpg on the highway and mid-20s in town.

If driven at 60 mph on freeway Have gotten 35 mpg. Most driving daily 65-75 gets 33 worst I have gotten was 29 mpg

Fuel economy at 30 mpg (average) was OK but not spectacular. I blame the 4 speed automatic for that and suspect I might have done better with the 5 speed manual.

It was only rated at 24mpg by Consumer Reports - and with a smaller, less powerful engine than the 3 (which was rated at 25)

Economy is somewhat disappointing for a compact - I average 22 mpg around town.

Poor in town and highway. Extremely disappointed. I would not mind the 20mpg if this was translated into 0-60 times of 6 seconds - but it is not. I have no idea where the fuel goes - it is certainly not converted into power.
