How Many Repairs Will My New Car Need? Find Out, Only at TrueDelta.com

Vehicle Reliability Survey results based on owner experiences through September 30, 2008

West Bloomfield, MI (PRWEB) November 12, 2008 -- When it comes to choosing a new car, reliability is key. Most companies that track vehicle reliability only indicate whether a model will be better or worse than the average car. Only one source, TrueDelta.com, provides actual repair rates.

What's more, reliability information from other sources is often based on data that's over a year old. Only TrueDelta tracks cars closely as they age, with updates every three months. (TrueDelta's latest results cover owner experiences as recent as the end of September.)

Thanks to the "fresh data," TrueDelta can tell car buyers if a model that seemed reliable three months ago is no longer faring as well. Or if a new model that was doing poorly three months ago is now doing better, because the manufacturer has identified and fixed early problems. For example:

  • 2008 Infiniti EX35 and 2008 smart fortwo - while others continue to report low repair rates, neither vehicle is faring well based on TrueDelta's more recent data. Fuel pump failures have been very common in the EX35.
  • 2008 Cadillac CTS and 2009 Jaguar XF - glitches have decreased substantially, but they're still averaging over one repair trip per year. (The typical 2008 model averages about half a repair trip per year.)
  • 2009 Dodge Journey - like other recent Chrysler designs, this new CUV is also averaging over a repair trip per year. (Only TrueDelta already has information on some early 2009 models.)

With its prompt quarterly updates, TrueDelta can report any such declines or improvements in vehicle reliability soon after they occur.

TrueDelta also provides more useful vehicle reliability information for those considering older cars. TrueDelta founder Michael Karesh notes, "When considering a car, don't you want to know how reliable it has been recently?"
