Why the Audi TT?
Powertrain performance: Another surprise how the DSG and the turbo 4 banger work so seamlessly with each other. Never need to plant the foot all the way into the firewall to get what I need.
Fuel economy: Outstanding and a complete surprise considering the heavy right foot
Ride smoothness: I live in pot hole city where the patches are just as bad as the pot hole themselves. What bump?
Front seat room: Never had a two seater with this much room for a 6 footer plus. Total comfort all around
Safety & braking: Outstanding braking with complete control and great feel.
Why Not the Audi TT?
Exterior styling: Nothing else like it out there and the styling just keeps growing on me.
Handling: Not as sharp or direct as other sports cars I owned, but still very capable. It is the old ride comfort vs handling. Since track days are not in my vocabulary, I will take the comfort thank you.
Audio & nav systems: Navigation takes a little time to get use to but always has been spot on. The stereo is not great by any means but livable. Another car you need the radio on to use the nav.
Materials & workmanship: Fit and finish first rate and better looking than the other offerings from Audi land.
Driving position & visibility: The outside mirrors have the turn signal in the housing so you can see it while driving. Great idea, but produces a blind spot in my seating position on the drivers side. wish the mirror could be pushed out a little further.
