Materials & workmanship: Controls are laid out well. Interior leather which is Biege and the Black dashbard are a nice combination. Everything seems to fit well together. There's a nice flow to the inside of the car.
Price or payments: Great rebate and the sales person was willing to meet our price range. I was able to get a really good price for a car with all the bells and whistles. The long warranty helped a lot also.
Interior styling: It feels like a luxury car. The car just has a nice flow to it. The layout of all the controls, the cup holders, the lights in the cup holders, everything put togetherjust adds ambiance to the car.
Exterior styling: The car has nice curves and styling.

Ford Edge: Reasons not to buy
Price or payments: I couldn't get the limited in the price range I wanted. Also, the warranty was average.
Color choices: I wanted something a little more feminine like, light blue, green, or some pastel color. But all the colors except white and cream were too dark.

Single Vehicle Reviews: Ford Edge Pros and Cons

Ford Edge: Reasons to buy
Exterior styling: Sleek, modern - looks very similar to the Lexus crossover SUV's, for a fraction of the price.
Interior styling: Clean, modern, spacious, well laid out.
Quietness: This car is every bit as quiet as the Infininti and Lexus crossover SUV's - very inpressive.
Materials & workmanship: No notcieable blems, nothing is loose or vibrates, everything is quiet, the doors are solid and sound like a car door should when you shut them (not a tin can!) The Vista roof system is incredible.
Audio & nav systems: The sound system is well above average, clear at all volumes. The Microsoft Sync system is awesome for both hands free cell phone use and Ipod use, the audible nav is a great included feature, and you get Sirius XM satellite radio free for six months.

Ford Edge: Reasons to buy
Exterior styling: NICE SMOOTH LOOK. I LIKE THE REAR STYLING OF THE VEHICLE
Interior styling: SEATS ARE COMFORTABLE AND GAUGES ARE EASILY VISIBLE.
Handling: VERY STABLE FEELING WHEN DRIVING. LITTLE TO NO BODY ROLL WHEN CORNERING WHILE MAINTAINING A SMOOTH RIDE
Quietness: VERY LITTLE ROAD NOISE OR WIND NOISE
Rear seat room & comfort: EXCELLENT ROOM IN THE REAR FOR LEGS AND STRETCHING OUT.

Ford Edge: Reasons not to buy
Powertrain performance: It seems a little underpowered. Maybe it is just the transmission gearing ratios.
Color choices: NOT ENOUGH CHOICES

Ford Edge: Reasons to buy
Fuel economy: For it's size it does quite well. A lot better than the vehicle I had before.
Available features: Has a lot of nice touches such as a deep console, large moon roof!!!, climate control, heated seats, safety equipment, power seats with easy out, power liftgate, power rear seat fold down option, intermittent rear wiper, auto lights, puddle lights, nav &
Discounts & incentives: Part of the Ford X-plan. No fees. 0% interest.
Exterior styling: Looks a bit tough with the colour and wheels chosen. Unique and does not give the impression it is as large as it is.
Cargo capacity & towing: Rear seats and front passanger seat folds down to carry longer loads.

Ford Edge: Reasons to buy
Price or payments: The price was competitive
Interior styling: Modern and attractive. The Vista roof is a definite plus.
Past personal experience: I have had Ford brand vehicles in the past and was comfortable with the brand
Exterior styling: It's very distinctive and I constantly get unsolicited compliments
Audio & nav systems: The Sync system is outstanding and the Nav system is good enough although I would like to see the interface updated and traffic added

Ford Edge: Reasons not to buy
Fuel economy: It is only average overall. A hybrid or better still a hydrogen fuel cell version would be better.

Ford Edge: Reasons to buy
Past personal experience: Past experience with Ford.
Color choices: The same red my wife had with 2006 escape.
Discounts & incentives: $1500 cash back and 0% for 60 months. Saved over $4700 in finance charges. None of the competitors we tried Nissan Murano, Hyundai Santa Fe had finance incentives.
Handling: Both the Nissan Murano and Hyunda Santa Fe had slight drivetrain vibration in the AWD models. Ford Edge AWD was smooth with no vibration and we tried more than one of each.
Quietness: Quiet cabin ride compared to the vehicle driven prior a 2006 Ford escape. In all fairness Nissan and Hyundai were quiet except for the slight vibration.
