26000 mi Sunroof stopped operating. Dealer fixed via software/reprogramming, no parts replaced.
5800 mi The sunroof was making a creaking/clicking noise when closed. It was especially bad at slower speeds and rougher pavement. In the shop it was narrowed down to the sunroof motor cover that was loose and making contact with the car. The cover was replaced and the noise is gone.
9000 mi Sunroof noise/rattle came back after previous fix. Dealer had VW engineers come in and review the problem. took 3 days and 8 hours of VW engineer time to find a place on the sunroof frame that was not properly attached. The rattle has now been gone for almost a month.
35000 mi

Clean out sunroof drain tubes. I'm unclear on whether to call this maintenance or repair; it kind of goes with the territory if the car has a sunroof, but there also was a minor leak in the cabin as a result.
18000 mi Water leak into drivers side rear floorboard
10000 mi Paint on rear bumper peeling behind wheel wheels. Paint on front bumper brittle and cracked.
500 mi rattle from soundaktor in sport mode. Dealer said would disable soundaktor.

turbocharged 220hp 2.0L I4 6-speed automated manual FWD

5000 mi sunroof squeeking. Dealer applied fix
12484 mi I adjusted the sun roof rear height to prevent it from rubbing (and producing a squeak) on an plastic shield that is below the sun roof. The sun roof was adjusted by loosening two torx screws at the rear of the sun roof when open. The driver's side was higher than the passenger side and increasing the height of the passenger side provided enough clearance that no rubbing occurs now.
1100 mi Right driver's side window squeaked when window fully pushed up to the top. Dealer cleaned and lubricated top of window, problem resolved
25000 mi Interior sunroof cover slowly pulled back to a max of 2” after driving. Dealer repaired, this being the final repair. Fix worked for a time, but has since reverted.
3000 mi Sunroof rattled itself loose.
